Buying a new radio?

Postby Zippy7 » September 14th, 2011, 3:24 pm

What do you recommend for a radio system? Tossed between Spektrum, 4PK, and those import radios I've read about, I think they are called FlySky. Has anyone ever used or have feedback on the FlySky?

IMO I would not by the FlySky. May be cheaper but not near the queality of the others. I run a DX3R Pro, which could be overkill depending on your experience level. I have used almost every radio out there and the one I have now is my favorite of them all.

I've used the M11 Radio and the KO Propo ex-10 Helios. The helios I like alot but wish it were a little lighter. Options are great as well as the wheel dropdown unit. the Lipo battery I put in helped to lighten it up a bit. :D

I have used those also. The M11 felt ackward in my hand as the big screen on top made it very Top Heavy. :? The KO Radio I agree is also a pretty good option but expect a little higher price.

Thanks guys for all the feedback. I definitely think I will stay away from the import radios. They are getting decent reviews on other sites, but for now, I think I'll go for the main systems that are tried and true! I will be watching eBay for some good deals and go from there.

Okay, while searching the HobbyKing site, I ran into this radio system. Doesn't look too bad, what do you all think: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... stem_.html
